When I was a child, I was terrified of the dark. I didn’t sleep through the night in my own room until I was nearly ten. Every night, I snuck into my parent’s or sister’s bedroom where I’d rest assured that monsters and bad guys wouldn’t come after me now that I wasn’t sleeping alone.
