I Have No Idea What Day It Is

The Night Before the Night Before Christmas
Written & Illustrated by Richard Scarry

I think I made a mistake.

Even Santa has trouble keeping track of what day it is.

Mr. Frumble is Busytown’s resident Good Samaritan, always wanting to lend a helping hand, but he is terribly accident prone. No one in Busytown is eager to accept his help, so he decides to go to the North Pole instead, figuring that Santa could use an extra set of hands to get ready for Christmas. Upon entering Santa’s workshop, Mr. Frumble slips and accidentally pulls a page off Santa’s tear-away calendar, resulting in a comical and dreadful mixup about the date. When Santa mistakenly takes off the night *before* the night before Christmas, it’s a catastrophe! And it’s up to Mr. Frumble to save Christmas for Busytown.

“Ho, ho … Oh, NO! It’s already December 24! It’s Christmas Eve!”

My children love the zany absurdity of Richard Scarry’s Busytown books, and this holiday edition delivers a multitude of those forehead slapping, giggle inducing moments that they love. If you’ve got a Cars and Trucks and Things That Go fan at home, this will be a big hit.
