Make sure the wipes are flushable.

This isn’t going to be your favorite book, it’s going to be your toddler’s favorite. Here is how it begins:

“Lionel is bouncing lightly on his trampoline when all of a sudden he needs to poop.”

In the proceeding pages, Lionel nearly poops on all sorts of animals, objects, and even the Sun. Each page has readers shout the same deterrent of “NO LIONEL, NO!” until Lionel finally locates his training potty and sits down, at which point you’ll gleefully cheer “YES, LIONEL, YES!” This book is silly and absurd, but toddlers embarking on potty training will find it hilarious and engaging. As a bonus, it’s published as a petite 5x5 inch board book that’s perfect for little hands. The story also serves as a helpful talking point for grownups that learning to put one’s poop and pee in the potty is a learned behavior and a socialized one. You can’t just go around pooping on the Sun!

Anything that gets children excited about potty training and gives parents a laugh during the experience is a big win in my book, so go ahead and get yourself a copy. Good luck ditching diapers, my friends!
