Don’t make eye contact.
Reading this book is like watching a ridiculously entertaining Pixar short. It’s cute, it’s hilarious, and it's totally original.
“Fluffy McWhiskers was cute. Dangerously cute. KABOOM!”
Fluffy McWhiskers is so cute that if you saw her, you’d explode. Everywhere she goes, everything she does, results in passersby and onlookers combusting into a cloud of rainbow pyrotechnics. You’ll be giggling until it’s time to think about how Fluffy feels. It turns out that our doe-eyed, cotton candy-colored fur ball feels tremendously guilty and incredibly lonely. So she exiles herself to a deserted island where she can’t hurt anyone, only to discover that it’s already inhabited by the one creature on Earth who can withstand her charms, and become her dearest friend.
In addition to being a fun book about friendship, I love that the story sends children (and adults) a powerful message: that even people who seem “perfect” have problems.
