Explore without walking out the door.

Cabin fever, anyone? Escape into this spectacular book and you’ll feel like you’ve traveled.

There are two things that I love about this book. First, it exclusively focuses on activities in nature, there are zero man-made attractions featured. Second, the selections for each state aren’t the obvious and typical landmarks that you see in most other books, so you’re likely learn something new, amazing, and fascinating about each state.

“South Padre Island is a nesting area for the world’s smallest and most endangered turtle, the Kemp’s Ridley.”

Despite living in LA and being 20 minutes away from the beach, my friends and I rarely went. We’d go a handful of times, often when friends and family were visiting and we were playing tour guide. “People who live in LA don’t actually go to the beach,” was a common offhand remark. But one of the silver linings of this past year is how deeply I’ve come to appreciate the beaches, hiking trails, and parks around where I live. And whatever the “new normal” is for my family on the other side of all this, I want it to continue to include lots of forays into nature, just like the ones in this book.
